Makueni Sisters was founded in 2006. It was conceived as a result of the need for women to have a positive, nurturing support system, which would offer support and love through the journey. The founding members felt an overwhelming call to open their hearts and homes for monthly group meetings. The members provide a positive reinforcement to each other and offer support resources to its members, family and friends. We work closely with churches and other organizations to meet our goals.
Sharing and encouragement has been the platform that sustains the membership. Our Sisterhood is based on encouragement and support for our one another during good times and challenging times.
We have monthly meetings, which are designed to empower to be strong in different ways. We offer support from financial management to Weight Management. Makueni Sisters encourages women to Give Back to Sisters in our community who are less fortunate. Our goal is to bring Makueni women together in order to make a Difference, which will last for a Lifetime!
If a Sister is troubled and facing hard hardship the MKS seeks to not only help in prayer and encouragement, but we assist in areas where resource are available. This is one of the benefits of being associated with the Makueni Sisters.
